Our Daily Schedule

Clock_small7:30 - 7:55 ● Each student will make a lunch choice, empty backpack, take a restroom break, go to breakfast if needed, and participate in the designated morning activity.
7:55 - 8:05
Newscast, pledge, attendance, and lunch count. 
8:05 - 9:00Writers Workshop - Students will be involved in mini-lessons, independent writing, and share sessions.
9:00 - 9:50Related Arts - Students will participate in Art, Music, Physical Education and Computer on a rotating schedule.
9:50 - 10:00Snack - Each student may bring a small nutritious snack from home (no drinks please) to enjoy during this time.
10:00 - 10:30 ● School-wide Literacy Intervention/Enrichment Block - Students will work in small groups for additional assistance or enrichment as needed.
10:30 - 11:30 ● Reader's Workshop - Students will be involved daily in a mini-lesson and shared reading and comprehension strategies. This will be followed by independent reading, at which time the teacher will hold individual student conferences. This will also be used as our literacy center time.
11:30 - 11:47 ● Handwriting Without Tears - The students will work on handwriting skills.
11:47 - 12:12 ● Lunch
12:12 - 1:20 ● Math - Students will learn specific math skills, concepts, and strategies, frequently using hands-on manipulatives to reinforce learning.
1:20 - 1:40 ● Social Interaction - Students will have the opportunity to practice appropriate socialization skills, taking turns, conflict resolution, and fair play either outside or inside.
1:40 - 2:20 ● Content (Social Studies, Science, Health) Students will develop an awareness of the world in which we live. Concepts will be explored through inquiry, literature, and hands-on activities.
2:20 - 2:25 ● Prepare for Dismissal
